American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) The AADE is dedicated to advancing the role of the diabetes educator and improving the quality of diabetes education and care. The site has a locator to help find a Diabetes Educator in your area.	Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) JDRF Canada is an affiliate of JDRF International. Focusing on finding a cure for type 1 diabetes, JDRF gives more money to diabetes research than any other non-profit, nongovernmental health agency in the world.
American Diabetes Association (ADA) The ADA funds research, publishes scientific findings, and provides information and other services to people with diabetes, their families, healthcare professionals, and the public.	National Diabetes Education Program (NDEP) The NDEP is a federally-sponsored initiative to improve the treatment and outcomes for people with diabetes, to promote early diagnosis, and to prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes. The NDEP website includes diabetes information, and awareness campaigns.
Centers for Disease Control (CDC) — Diabetes Public Health Resource The CDC takes information from clinical trials and incorporates it into U.S. clinical and public health practices. In addition, the CDC facilitates the availability of services to people affected by diabetes.	National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease (NIDDK) The NIDDK conducts and supports research on many of the most serious diseases affecting public health, including diabetes. This U.S. site includes an information dissemination service called the National Diabetes Information Clearinghouse (NDIC).
fit4D.com Fit4D’s team of Certified Diabetes Educators (CDEs) integrates fitness and nutrition planning with motivational support. Through online personal coaching programs, Fit4D provides one-on-one support for people with diabetes and pre-diabetes, empowering them to achieve their health, fitness, weight loss and quality-of-life goals.	National Institutes of Health (NIH) The NIH in the U.S. is one of the world's foremost medical research institutions. The goal of its research is to acquire new knowledge to help prevent, detect, diagnose, and treat disease and disability.
Food and Nutrition Information Center (FNIC) The FNIC offers healthy facts about food and nutrition. It is part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.	Taking Control of Your Diabetes (TCOYD) The mission of TCOYD is to educate and motivate people with diabetes and their loved ones to take a more active role in their condition. The site also lists TCOYD educational classes.
Joslin Diabetes Center The Joslin Diabetes Center provides extensive information on diabetes treatment and research for patients and professionals.
